Introduction

The project

Just A Girl revisits a time when female voices in alternative rock and pop shaped a generation’s identity. With Charlie Ditcham and a band, the show brings Alanis Morissette, No Doubt and The Cranberries together, combining guitars, contrasting interpretations and singalong choruses. The repertoire spans the 1990s and early 2000s, finding a connecting thread in the attitude and vocal expression of different artists. For venues, festivals and themed nights, it can offer a way to revisit that musical memory together. This is not about reproducing one band: its appeal lies in the connections and differences between several references from the same period.

Career

Artistic journey

Ultimate Artistes presents Just A Girl as a live celebration of a period when female singers and women-fronted bands expanded rock’s place in pop culture. Charlie Ditcham takes lead vocals and connects distinct repertoires: Alanis Morissette’s songwriting, No Doubt’s energy, The Cranberries’ melodies and references such as Meredith Brooks and Natalie Imbruglia. That combination adds variety without losing an identity rooted in the era, revealing different ways of relating guitar, voice and song. The band provides the setting for this journey between artists. It is an independent tribute, with no participation or official association with the celebrated performers; musicians and setlist are confirmed for each proposal.
