The project
Four musicians, vocal harmonies and songs that still bring generations together: The Counterfeit Beatles revisit the musical world of John, Paul, George and Ringo. From the early hits to the Liverpool band's more colourful era, their show combines live performance, period costumes and attention to the Beatles' musical language. Peter Bailey's left-handed bass playing is one of the details behind that recreation. Moving between upbeat songs and choruses that invite an audience to join in, the project offers a shared musical experience for listeners who grew up with the records and those discovering them for the first time.

Artistic journey
Formed in the United Kingdom in 1998, The Counterfeit Beatles developed an international live career. The project's published history includes Japan's Fuji Rock Festival, the Beatlemania production at Theatre Vergina in Greece and tours of India in 2010 and 2011. Hey Jude, Let It Be and All You Need Is Love feature in its repertoire. Appearances across festivals, theatres and other venues provide the background to a show celebrating different chapters of the Beatles' story.
