Introduction
The project
ABBA’s Angels brings vocal harmonies, ABBA-inspired costumes and interpretations of pop and disco songs together in a tribute with a strong thematic identity. “Dancing Queen”, “Mamma Mia” and “Waterloo” evoke a world where melody and rhythm invite recognition, singing and dancing. The visual element accompanies that musical journey, helping create a coherent show. For themed parties, theatres and festivals, the British project allows different presentation scales to be discussed, with line-up options to assess according to the venue and event. The starting point is always the music being celebrated, presented by an independent project with no participation by ABBA’s members or official association with the group.
Career
Artistic journey
Based in southern England since 2000, ABBA’s Angels has developed a performance history in the UK and abroad, including Singapore and Mauritius. The project’s history includes television appearances and interviews about ABBA, among them “The Last Leg” and “Good Morning Britain”. The repertoire spans “Dancing Queen”, “Mamma Mia”, “Waterloo”, “S.O.S.” and “Fernando”, allowing dance songs to contrast with more restrained moments. Duo and band options exist, alongside additional party music and 1970s and 1980s programmes, to be assessed for each proposal. These elements describe production possibilities, not a fixed package. The tribute maintains its own independent identity, with no participation by ABBA’s members or official association with the group.
